About Me
I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist specializing in both psychotherapy and medication management. I work with adults facing a range of psychological and psychiatric challenges, providing treatment to men and women aged 18 and older. I provide personalized and comprehensive consultations and treatments, utilizing psychotherapy and medications needed.
In addition to my general practice, I have a subspecialty in women’s reproductive mental health and perinatal psychiatry. I work with women dealing with issues including PMDD, mood fluctuations during pregnancy and postpartum, pregnancy loss, the psychological effects of infertility treatment, and mood changes related to perimenopause and menopause.
I focus on an individualized approach to address each person's concerns, challenges, and symptoms. I believe in collaborating with my patients to foster change and healing through psychotherapy, appropriate medications, and a compassionate partnership.
I obtained both my BA and MD from the University of Pennsylvania. After completing my residency at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA I pursued a fellowship in reproductive and perinatal psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital. Following my fellowship, I moved to New York and worked at the Mood and Anxiety Clinic at NY Hospital Westchester Division. Since 2000, I have been in private practice, actively contributing to the field through articles, national conference presentations, and training future professionals. I currently serve on the advisory board of Let’s Talk Menopause, a nonprofit dedicated to menopause education, and I am a member of Postpartum Support International.
